It's easy to have a lovely bed of wildflowers that will help sustain the bees, and attract butterflies!
Select a site that receives at least 4-6 hours of sunlight each day and is protected form the wind. Prepare the soil to a depth of 3-4". Layout the mat and cover it with 1/8" of soil. Water the mat and soil until the mat melts into the soil. Continue to keep the mat moist each day until plants are 2-3" tall. Check daily and continue watering as necessary.
You can cut the mat into different shapes and patterns and lay it out. This is the simplest way to establish a diverse wildflower bed. You'll be able to create a variety of flower bouquets to brighten up your indoors, and many of the flowers dry wonderfully for continued enjoyment during the winter months!
Each mat contains seeds for the following wildflowers:
Lance-Leaf Coreosis Indian Blanket Scarlet Flax Baby Blue-Eyes Painted Daisy Annual Baby's Breath Virginia Stock Black-Eyed Susan Cornflower (mixed) California Poppy Mountain Garland Plains Coreopsis
Size: 17" x 5' (Approx. 7 sq. ft., 500+ seeds per mat)
